Patriot Detachment 1230 Scout Coordinator Gus Cales had the pleasure of presenting the Good Citizenship Award at the Troop 19 Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Benjamin Harris, May 14th, at the Chapel of Holy Ghost Preparatory School. For his Eagle Scout Project, Benjamin prepared and delivered two “scent boxes” for the training of K-9 police dogs and he presented the training tools to the Bucks County Park Rangers.

Detachment members participated in a flag exchange directed by Pete Palestina on February 28th at the Northampton Township Board of Supervisors public meeting where they welcomed home from Afghanistan Army Maj. Kevin Loughnane and placed an Air Force flag in the township display for deployed 1st Lt. Kelsey Glover. Patriot Detachment Eagle Scout Coordinator Gus Cales presents Good Citizenship Award to Eagle Scout Christopher Singleton of Troop 19, at his Court of Honor on 2/3/2018.

On Dec. 16 Scout Troop 29 honored Gus Cales for his representing the MCL Patriot Detachment 1230 in the Eagle Scout recognition program. An award was presented to Gus by Troop 29 and Scoutmaster Dave Brown who said the following:
“Gus, How nice to have our Eagle Scouts at Troop 29 honor you for all you do to represent the Marine Corps League at countless scouting events throughout the year. We are so lucky to have you as our rep. Thank you for your service to our country and your continued service to our community”.
